What is the difference between fine art transport and regular moving? +

Standard moves prioritise speed and volume. Fine art transport prioritises each piece's integrity: custom crate, climate control, nail-to-nail all-risk insurance and trained handlers. Cost per piece is 3-5× higher but risk of damage drops to insurance minimums.

Does the insurance cover the full declared value of the artwork? +

Yes. We offer all-risk policy with coverage up to €5 million per operation. Declared value is justified with official appraisal, purchase invoice or artist certificate. Both source nail and destination nail are covered, including any interim custody.

Do I need a permit to temporarily export artwork abroad? +

It depends on value and age. Works over 100 years old, over €50,000 or classified as Cultural Interest require prior authorisation from the Culture Ministry (Spanish Law 16/1985). We handle the full paperwork and coordinate with destination customs.

What packing do you use for paintings and sculptures? +

Paintings: double layer of neutral Tyvek paper, non-marking bubble wrap, rigid PU corners and marine plywood crate with sealed joint. Marble/bronze sculptures: custom-expanded foam, internal harness, screwed base. Each crate has a numbered seal with photographic inventory.

Do you offer climate-controlled interim custody? +

Yes. Our Madrid warehouse has a climate-controlled room (20-22°C / 50-55% RH) with audited access, 24/7 CCTV and alarm connected to a monitoring centre. Ideal for travelling exhibitions or staggered moves. Insurance extended during custody.

How long does the technical visit and quote take? +

The technical visit is scheduled within 48-72 business hours from first contact. A specialist measures, photographs works and signs the NDA on site. Detailed quote by email within 48 hours after the visit. No commitment or cost for the visit.
