Using temporary apartments is more beneficial due to their reduced prices and larger spaces when compared with hotels. Prices vary depending on the size and location of the apartment.

Immigration

Spanish immigration legislation sets strict mandatory requirements for foreign citizens planning to travel to Spain for tourism, business or employment purposes.

Any move to Spain always involves a series of processes and documents that must be completed:

Work permit and employment

According to the law, foreign citizens have the same right to work in Spain as Spanish native residents. However, employers are required to observe numerous formal requirements imposed by Spanish legislation.

Business visa

A business visa is issued to a foreign citizen upon arrival in Spain for commercial purposes. It can be single or double entry for use from 1 to 3 months or multiple entries for the period of 1 year.

The maximum stay of a foreigner in Spain with a business visa cannot exceed 180 days. A business visa is issued provided that a letter of invitation is available. Having an invitation letter is a mandatory requirement to obtain a business visa. The process may vary slightly depending on the country in question.

Work visa

A work visa is issued to a foreign citizen upon arrival in Spain, based on the invitation of the company that hires them and allows a foreigner to enter Spain to work.

Notification and registration with state authorities

Under Spanish legislation, foreigners are required to register at their place of stay in Spain within 3 days of crossing the Spanish border. The same de-registration procedure applies on departure.
